If you are looking for a courier service in Plymouth that understands the city as well as it understands logistics, AMW Couriers is the team to call. As one of the UK's most established independent courier companies, we bring genuine local knowledge of Plymouth together with a nationwide network that can get almost anything to almost anywhere, quickly and reliably.
We collect regularly from Langage Business Park, Estover and Roborough, as well as the docks and the wider city centre, and our GPS-tracked fleet of over 2,000 vehicles means every consignment is visible from the moment it leaves your premises to the moment it arrives. With more than ten years of trading behind us, Plymouth businesses and residents can book with genuine confidence. Take a look at our full range of courier services to see how we support businesses across every sector in the city.
When a deadline cannot move, our same day delivery service collects directly from your Plymouth address and drives straight to the destination, with no depot stops and no unnecessary handling in between.
Plymouth's marine engineering, defence and healthcare sectors regularly need parts, samples or documents moved at short notice, and this is exactly where our same day service earns its keep. Whether you are collecting from Langage Business Park, Estover or a unit closer to Devonport, we know the access points and can get moving fast.
What makes our same-day service stand out in Plymouth:
Not every job needs to move within the hour, and there is little sense paying for urgency you do not need. Our overnight delivery service gives Plymouth businesses a dependable, cost-effective way to guarantee arrival by the next working day.
We collect locally across Plymouth and deliver to any UK address, with the same GPS tracking and accountability as our faster services. It is a popular choice with the city's retail, trade and marine supply businesses, particularly those working to planned rather than emergency schedules.
Overnight delivery with AMW gives you:
Plymouth's role as a logistics gateway comes down to its geography. The A38 runs directly through the city, linking it to Exeter and the M5 and, from there, to the rest of the country, while the Tamar Bridge and the Torpoint Ferry connect Plymouth straight into Cornwall, reaching Saltash, Torpoint and Liskeard with ease.
Add to that Plymouth's working ferry port, with Brittany Ferries routes running to France and Spain, and Devonport's status as the largest naval base in Western Europe, and you have a city that has always needed fast, reliable transport in and out, not just around the corner.
We use that position every day. A collection from Plymouth is never far from a direct route onto the A38, which lets us offer the reach of a national courier company while keeping the personal, accountable service of a local one, covering Plymouth, Tavistock, Ivybridge, Saltash and the wider Devon and Cornwall border as standard.
Some consignments need more than speed. Our specialist courier services are built for exactly this kind of work, and are a natural fit for Plymouth's marine engineering, defence and healthcare sectors, including:
This is an area where a lot of courier content in Plymouth stays generic, listing capabilities without ever explaining how they are delivered in practice. We would rather show our experience than simply claim it, so if your business regularly moves hazardous, temperature-sensitive or high-value goods, we are happy to talk through exactly how we handle it before you book.
Plymouth's docks, marine trade and industrial estates around Langage and Estover generate a steady flow of freight and pallet work alongside standard parcels. Our freight services are built around exactly this kind of volume and complexity:
With over ten years of trading and a fully GPS-tracked fleet of more than 2,000 vehicles, AMW Couriers has built a reputation as a courier company Plymouth businesses return to, not just for a single urgent job, but as an ongoing logistics partner. We work across the city's marine, defence, healthcare and retail sectors, as well as with private customers who simply want something delivered properly, on time, with proof it arrived.
Our drivers know Plymouth's road layout, the Tamar crossings and the access requirements around the docks and Devonport, which means fewer delays and more predictable collection windows exactly when it matters most.
AMW Couriers is proud to support businesses and residents across Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall with dependable, UK-wide delivery.
